To become a member of the Albuquerque Bocce Club.... 1.) A player must have competed in two tournaments, two league matches, or have won a tournament 2.) All members of the council must agree on sponsorship of said player. 3.) Pledged member must partake in a secret initiation in order to become a member. 4.) Pledged member will take part in all Club rituals prior to play. 5.) You cannot speak of the rituals to anyone other than club members. Failure to do so will mean immediate dismissal and you will not be considered a member for a year. 6.) Only two members will be allowed to join each week. All members will nominate a pledge and decide on who it will be. The President does not nominate a pledge but has the final say on entry. Initiation - The initiation will take place prior to the start of Bocce. Each member of the Club will take part in the initiation of said member pledge. Each member has a specific initiation for the pledge to perform. (Currently the pledge must perform 4 initiation tasks to become a member, but once we add members the tasks will increase according to the number of members. The President may step in for a pledge if the pledge's ethic code would be violated. I.E. say a pledge does not drink, the President may take his drink for him.) No pledge will do more than three shots for initiation! This is not college, I don't need people getting sick at my house! The member that issues the initiation task must also partake in the task as well. (Example: A member has a pledge take a shot in the club's honor, the member must also take a shot.) * A player may become a member of the ABC if a good deed towards the club is performed. (After Council agreement.) |
